The GT
Products heavy duty spinner is made in virgin nylon to withstand twist, pull and shear forces of two tonnes plus. The holes will accept 16mm & 20mm rope.
Creel Hooks
Designed for steel welded D-frame traps.
We manufacture two sizes of parlour door hooks, the small hook is for hooking into mesh, the large one is for hooking around a rubbered door.
Both are made of shock resistant polypropylene for reliability even in low temperatures. Low abrasion and no electrolysis means a longer life for your pot frames.
Rubber Bands/Elasticated Rope (Bungee)
Our bulk rubber bands for claw banding are made in high quality 84% pure, natural rubber. We also supply long life bands for door hooks and other applications, and stock 4mm & 6mm braided elasticated rope at
budget prices.
'V' Notchers
Purpose made in stainless steel for marking lobsters in conservation scheme areas (see local fish committees for details). Each set is corrosion resistant and features a
rounded 'Anti-Split' 'V' notch, to prevent running cracks in the carapace.
Escape Vents
When fitted to the parlour, undersize crabs and lobsters can leave the trap. Less time is wasted sorting the catch. Mortalities due to rough weather and cannabalism are proven to be lower.
A positive measure to assist conservation. Vent dimensions are 80mm x 45mm, as recommended by MAFF Lowestoft (see Anti-ghosting panel).
Lobster/Crab Gauges
We stock a lightweight glass filled
polypropylene gauge which is accurate but inexpensive. We are currently developing a steel universal gauge.
Mussel Pegs
For insertion in polypropylene rope. These pegs are inexpensive consumables, designed to break on harvest for easy removal of the mussels.
Oyster Sack Hooks
A low cost and
hygenic alternative to metal hooks. Our hooks are made of polypropylene and can be supplied in several colours for colour coding. The hooks are easy to rig and remove, will fit any mesh over 4mm diameter and float if
lost. They can be supplied with long life bands if required.
